GHBA's Planned Community of the Year

Encompassing more than 11,400 acres, the Bridgeland master planned community's conceptual plan includes a carefully designed network of trails totaling over 60 miles that will provide pedestrian connectivity to distinct residential villages. The community will also feature over 3000 acres of unique waterways, lakes, trails, parks and open space, as well as an expansive town center with room for employment, retail, educational and entertainment facilities. The new community is located approximately 2.5 miles south of US 290 on Fry Road in northwest Houston. The Bridgeland community will one day be home to more than 65,000 residents and is poised to be one of the top master planned communities in the nation.

Bridgeland's first four communities, The Shores, First Bend, The Cove and Water Haven offer a unique home buying experience:

  • One convenient model home park showcasing 12 models by nine of Houston's top       builders

    • The first of several activity complexes, Lakeland Activity Center opened in May of 2007. Incorporating over six acres, this complex is anchored by a 6000 square foot Community Center. Additionally Lakeland Activity Center features:

  • A gradual depth play pool with volleyball nets
